Rooter Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Android 7 Nougat

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is a Tablet Phone that initially use Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow as the initial operating system, and now we put severalways how to root methods for that ROM.

But later, this smartphone, received the ROM with Android 7.0, which would have left useless root after updating Note 5 to Android 7 Nougat.

In this update we trying to give you a simple and effective process to rooter all versions of Samsung Galaxy Note 5 with Android 7 Nougat.

Note: If your Samsung Galaxy Note 5 still has Android 6.0.1 and you would like to update it to Android Nougat 7 then apply the root of this tutorial, you only have to download the official ROM for Note 5 Nougat from this link.

How to upgrade the Galaxy Note 5 to Android Nougat 7 if you have an older version?

  • Download the rom from the previous link and extract the content to the computer.
  • Install USB drivers for Note 5 on the computer.
  • Download Odin3 for Note 5.
  • Enable USB debugging and enable OEM Unlock.
  • Turn on Note 5 in download mode by pressing volume + start + power simultaneously.
  • Run Odin3 and connect Note 5 to the PC.
  • Press the AP button of Odin and open the file of the ROM.
  • Press START and wait a few minutes until the new ROM is flashed and the device restarts. 

Root the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 con Android 7.0 Nougat

First we download the root files corresponding to the version of our Galaxy Note 5 with Android 7 Nougat from the following Chainfire links:

Then install the galaxy USB drivers to the computer and enable Debug USB + OEM Unlock in the phone developer menu.

Extract the previously downloaded folder and run the Odin3 application.

Turn on Note 5 in Download mode by combining down volume + start + power until the download mode warning appears.

Then press the volume up button and connect the Note 5 to the computer with the USB cable. If everything is correct (drivers, cable etc.) we will see the text Added in Odin.

Press the AP button and open the file CF-Auto-Root ... tar.md5 that is in the previous folder along with Odin.

We click Start and wait a couple of minutes until the process finishes, which will restart Note 5 automatically.

At the same time we can see a message in Odin with the word Pass, which means that everything went perfectly.

After rooting, the first start of the system usually takes a little longer than normal, so we should not worry about anything and we will wait patients until it finishes updating.

Finally we will look for the SuperSU application on the phone desktop to make sure that the Activate Superuser tab is activated, if it is not, we should only mark it and close the app.

From the following link you can download all the official ROMs for the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 with Android 7 Nougat. When you flash the phone's original rom, all changes will be reverted and the device will be restored to its original factory state.
